I ran across it... I don't remember where. One used bookstore or another. And I read it, and I wasn't used to SF developed and written that way--there's something in what is and isn't said in the toolbox of the style that reminds me of Stand on Zanzibar--and I was quite sure I'd missed something so I read it again, and that time I got it. (I think.)
Then, don't ask me how many years later, I started hearing about this acerbic little non-fiction book she wrote.
I still don't own a copy. I would very much like to.
I find myself rather wishing she wasn't dead, and I hope it didn't hurt, and I think she will be missed.
