Things I found out today.

If I bike for 45 minutes in 33°C weather (that is 40 with the Humidex, or 104°F), then I can get alllll the way from our place to [livejournal.com profile] theweaselking's parents' place.

...eehhhheheheh.

*thump*

They have a pool...

But stunningly refreshed!

(Of course, now I'm sitting down with Gatorade and coffee, trying to figure out if my headache is dehydration or caffeine deprivation, because I can *never* tell the difference.)

And surprisingly lucky not to have caught a sun stroke. :P

I figured that if I started feeling at all out of it I could lock up the bike someplace and take the bus/phone, and took advantage of work's absolutely-free-all-you-can-drink bottled water before heading out. (I'm weirdly well-hydrated during the work week, now that I think on't...)

I *do* realize it wasn't particularly smart[1], but I don't think I was *that* lucky.

Yeah, and sun stroke doesn't necessarily hit while you are exercising. I learned that at last year's race weekend. Biking for some 2.5h beside the boyfriend in sweltering heat ( have no clue how HE survived), on a black bike, black helmet, black shirt and black gloves and no sunscreen. By the time he was done and we made our way to a restaurant by body decided to just go bye bye all of a sudden.
