Time passing.

Waugh, how did it get to be Thursday?

Let's see, my week; I have managed to get outside at least once a day and to keep things from piling up too badly. I've cleaned off my desk (sadly not before the cat broke my skull candleholder, but only into two pieces). I've decided The Shield is an excellent way to spend TV-watching time. The destashing progresses.

The temp agency called me Monday morning to let me know that work decided to end my contract on Friday. I was less than thrilled by this (actually, I was pretty hurt; they didn't even tell me, dammit, and I had a ride in for three of the last six work days, and there's also the annoyance of not getting stat pay for the holidays). Plus side, the temp agency may've found something else, and Mina sent me a link to another job opening.

I hurt. I blame the shovelling.

Talks broke off again and the busses are still on strike. The city asked the Minister of Labour to see about forcing a vote on the latest offer. No further details yet.

Also, have started watching The Tudors, and Jesus bleeding Christ eating a pomegranate should not be that interesting.

Afternoon-evening

So. I got the place tidied up a bit, [livejournal.com profile] harald287 (and, for a bit, [livejournal.com profile] sivi_volk) came over, Return of the Living Dead and Demon Knight were watched, and the cursed discovery that there are apparently no pizza places open on Christmas. Feh, I say. (Actually, apparently there is one; [livejournal.com profile] harald287 messaged me once he got home to tell me that the taxi driver knew about it.

I am currently lying in front of the fireplace with The Lost Room playing and waiting to see how my experiment with bits of meat in the oven comes out. I have a cooler, eggnog in the fridge, and stuff to watch later.

It's pretty cool.
