Well, I *was* just going to get up to feed the cats, and then curl up for another hour or so. 15'C[1] is weather made for not having to deal with.

Plan has been changed due to lower left rib apparently being kicked in by invisible ninja horse. Stupid muscle cramps.

Biked down to MEC yesterday, saw three spots on the route down where you could still see the ghost of former store signs painted on red brick buildings. Must go back with camera.

Cats squabbling. Lightly.

Coffee is in order if rib does not stop hurting soon.

May have to throw out a book. Am traumatized. (Don't laugh, I've never done this before.) My copy of /The Stand/, aside from being beat to shit[2], having the cover shattering and falling off, being decorated with (arguably) functional scotch tape, etcetera, was recently hairballed. I do not think it is salvageable, and it's not in condition good enough to pass on to anywhere else. Must go check the library bookstore--there was a copy there for $0.75 last week. Same edition and everything, much better condition.

There's something else I was meaning to say, can't remember what...

[1] Fifty-nine, to you strange southern types. Not Celcius, obviously.
[2] A highly technical term, this succint phrase denotes the level between "poor" and "already pulped" on the scale of book grading.
