veryvery quick note
May. 1st, 2011 02:15 amWhich totally does not reflect the general tenor of my night at all, but which I felt I should relay before I forget:
If in Montreal, and finding a taxi, and it happens to be a dark red SUV-type thing--you know, sliding doors on the sides?--and the decal in the window with the taxi number reads "2946", then I strongly advise you go find another taxi. I can understand not knowing an address, and wanting directions. I can understand deciding to hit the highway. But the swerving was a bad sign, and the jittering, and looking back to me when we hit Verdun and saying "Okay, so where are we going? I forgot" got him no points, especially after he handled construction on the highway by going into the lane cordoned off with traffic cones and gunning the engine.
