Returning, slowly.
Jul. 6th, 2011 09:16 amThat weekend was fun. A bit over-hot in places, but fun. (Now it's raining, which as far as I am concerned is absolutely awesome, but it does mean I need to post fast before the power goes out.[1])
I made this for dessert yesterday. It was *very* sweet; I think next time I may halve the amount of honey and add a plum, and a bit more salt and spice. (Maybe my pinches were too small? I don't know.) Absolutely awesome over vanilla ice cream, though.
Now *really* raining outside, and we have thunder and lightning too. Nice to have a day where I don't need to worry about keeping the house cool.
--I had better get coffee made before the power goes out; it probably won't, but I would hate to not wake up because I bet on "probably". Also, hot drinks when there's a cold rain going are very nice.

[1] Admittedly, in this house if the power goes out I can still use my desktop for half an hour and my laptop for an hour anna half, but the internet connection does go off.
