foxfury needs help; their roommates are cruel to their cat Velvet (seriously upsettingly so--my understanding is it has not necessitated vet care, but that's damning said roommates with pitifully faint praise).
foxfury is in Buffalo, NY. They're looking for a foster home for their cat until they can get out of there; ideally they'd want a temporary one so that they can take Velvet back once they're in a safer living situation. If a temporary home can't be found, they are prepared to give up their cat permanently to ensure her safety. From the public post (linked below because I tend to put upsetting links close to last):

Velvet is a one year old female, spayed, not declawed. I imagine kids would be fine, and possibly dogs? She never minded dogs at the vet, other than to hiss at a particularly annoying one. She's up to date on her shots and boosters and has no diseases.Details on Velvet and the description of the situation is here, and comments there will reach the owner. Please help if you can?
