Right. This is the "list ten weird habits or things about yourself" meme that has been floating around. I think I have only ever tagged people once, and I see no reason to do it a second time.
  1. I don't like tagging people for memes. I don't mind being tagged when it happens, but I hate tagging people, especially when the words "have to" come up. It sends me right back to memories of grade-school.
  2. I put off anything that could be considered an aesthetic change to myself for ages. Weeks for a haircut. Months for dying hair. Not even gonna start on how long I've been wanting to get my damn ears repierced.
  3. I am not nearly as educated as people sometimes assume I am, especially when it comes to history. (No-one assumes I'm reliably educated on pop culture anymore.)
  4. I can listen to the same song on repeat for hours and not get bored.
  5. I can't get a decent night's sleep unless I read a little last thing before I turn out the light.
  6. I think I may give up collecting pamphlet comics--they cost a crazy amount and don't last very long at all and very few are really good for rereads--and just stick to trades. Mostly when I buy an issue these days, I do it because I want the series to have a chance to run long enough to get turned into a graphic novel, or because Diamond's cutting titles that don't have minimum sales. This makes me feel old and sad.
  7. I can and do pick apart total cultural junk. This helps keep some horror movies and stories interesting. It's also become reflexive to a great degree--I assume it's a result of being an English major.
  8. I am wondering if somewhere back along the way, this meme said something about ten weird habits or things that most people don't know about you. This seems incredibly boring.
  9. I love horror. I really do. I waffle between thinking this is perfectly normal and thinking I'm morbid, and overall spend far too much time on the question.
  10. I've spent a good dozen years at least looking for a couple of poems I read once, maybe five years apart, in different books, and I can't find either one. Anywhere. At all.
