(1) Obtained marriage license. All requisite work is now done; if the tailor and all the tux shops in Ottawa burn down tomorrow, and the NAC explodes, and in fact anything short of a total breakdown of municipal legal authority occurs, the wedding is still a go.
's cool.
(2) Went to Waterloo for the weekend. Saw Pete and Doug and Jess and Craig and Johnny-Mac and Adrian and Laura (who is unique on this list in that I actually haven't met her before, but she seems very nice). Geeked on principles, people, storytelling theory/practice, and the different ways stories/books/movies get constructed (related to gaming, see: Perhaps It Is Bad for the Seeker of Knowledge to Die as a Matter of Course when all PCs are Seekers of Knowledge). Saw TMNT, which was okay. Missed out on catching The Last King of Scotland as I was not up for the Heavy, it was very Heavy, and anyway I needed my ritual hour-away-from-people or I'd've gotten snarly. Also: much driving. About 1200 km of driving, in fact. I did my part by staying awake for most of it.
Also, bookstore. Yay bookstore.
(3) Came home to find the cats had (so cute!) chewed a hole in the giant bag of kibble which is totally okay and were completely fine. They were fed while we were in the car driving home so they're currently still giving me the cold shoulder as an unnecessary human being. I expect this will change by 6:15 tomorrow morning.
's cool.
