Housewarming

For the record:

Just successfully survived what I think is the first party I've hosted in eleven years. Close to twelve. (Reception at the wedding doesn't count. Was too busy being just-married.)

I like that. I should do it again.

I don't think we came out ahead on any of the liquor, but I think we ended up with more than would reasonably be expected given how much we went through, so the net loss was smaller than--

--did that sentence make sense? It should read "Some guests very kindly brought wine or beer, which complemented the stuff we bought for the party."

(I'm pretty sure I did not have that much. But I've still typed twice as much as has remained on the screen to date. Of course, it's late.)

Returned book and power drill, gave away a couple of BPAL imps, loaned out a book, and... thing... brain... I'm sure there was something else.

Ah! Made various kinds of tea.

(*contemplates switching to "British tea" icon*)

--alright, I'm blogging icon choice waffling and it's past midnight. I need to go to bed.
