Backing up the shared drive at work. Means copying files to my laptop, since the work PCs don't have a DVD burner.

190 files won't copy over from my laptop to the DVD because their filenames are too long.

There is no compare/contrast function for the two folders (and allllllll the little sub-folders, and the 10K+ files they contain).

So I am going through the list of what's meant to be burnt to the DVD one folder at a time. Have been for a couple of hours. Expect to be for a couple more.

I am *so* going for a fluffy coffee after this.

Hmh. Well, bit of good news; apparently my French reading and writing skills aren't B, they're E. (For those not up on the grading system for the federal government, it means that rather than being "adequate" on the poor-adequate-good range, they're actually good, and in fact so good I don't need further testing ever. Yay further job options.)

Also, WRT depression: somebody gets it.

(The only thing missing is a panel about someone explaining how no, really, they have a smashed hand too because they appreciate the dark beauty of pain...)
