The Living One by Lewis Gannett. Thriller with hounds from hell and sepia roses. Don't know the author, but am cautiously optimistic.
Reigning Cats and Dogs and Heart-Beast, both hardcover novels by Tanith Lee.
Truckers by Terry Pratchett--haven't read it yet. And, on a related note, cannot find my Men At Arms.
Mother London by Michael Moorcock (on the strength of the subject matter). Related note: need to look up more Mervyn Peake; the description of London as "half masonry, half pain" seems very apt.[1]

I overheard one of the ladies at the desk talking to a customer about how notably lacking in signage the location was. Explains a lot, really.

[1] Yes, my critical judgement in regards to the place is shot, and I am a mad fan of it, and am happy to immerse myself in its age and history and anecdotes and folklore and presence and general setting. But I'm not nearly mad enough to ever pretend London is nice.

Of course, I myself weep for the main portion of the library itself, that seems not to be replenishing itself with more books but seems instead to be heading towards cyber land. Last I was there the library's reference section had been savaged and her non fiction section didn't look much better.
