green_dreamsI went out and got groceries, which is nice; we have plans for dinner tonight, and tomorrow (probably?) I'm making the leek-and-potato soup from A Fest of Ice & Fire. And maybe oatcakes. (Related to that: pine nuts are ridiculously expensive. O.o I mean, I am sure there are reasons, and I can't speak to what those reasons are, but ~$70 a kilo is... sort of mindblowing. (Suggestions for alternatives included roasted sunflower seeds, which are a tenth the price.))
And we heard back from the vet! Piper is probably getting surgery, and we are taking her in for a consult tomorrow morning. We will hopefully know more about how much we can help her and what aftercare will look like then.
I am off to tidy and cook the kitchen into submission.
