Jun. 22nd, 2005 10:05 amIn regards to Staples[1], it occurs to me that I have created the strange parallel of a vegetarian who simply won't eat anything cute; a warrior-type who really fundamentally actively dislikes killing people (wherein "people" is described as "humans by default plus anything she's managed to have a conversation with". Goblin, yes; famine spirit, no; skinned elf, yes).
I should have known this was going to happen; I have never managed to pick up The Screwtape Letters without pretty much reading the thing almost through. Will set aside an hour or so today to sit down with coffee and go over it again.
Finished Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. Very good book.
