Not what it could've been. "Love Shack" is *not* an adequate counterpoint to the aforementioned general insipidity of 80s. Still. Two hours on the dance floor.

Just deleted the /Sins/ folder. I should probably do a proper spring-cleaning of the computer; I've had it for about a month now. There's got to be more dead junk on here.

Have White Cowbell Oklahoma tickets. Not sure I can spring for KMFDM. Am wondering exactly what new twist is going to be put on the playing of "Freebird" this time. (Y'know, I'd never actually *heard* that until the end of /The Devil's Rejects/.)

Noticed something at the beginning of /The Breakfast Club/; part of the graffitti in the opening sequence of the movie reads "I don't like Mondays".

You know the song? And the story?

Missed that the first time around. Ah, lost innocence.

Meh. Just... meh.

A band.

And awesome band.

The bastard love children of Rob Zombie and Johnny Cash, with music scored for shotgun, chainsaw, and cowbell.

If they come locally to you, see them. You will enjoy it.

Do NOT heckle them to "Play Skynyrd".

Sin! Filth! Rock! (http://www.whitecowbell.com/). It's a band. It's the bastard sons of Randall Flagg mainlining the ashes of Johnny Cash and putting on a show. Pure kayfabe; the eleven of them play songs scored for traditional instruments plus chainsaw, shot glass, shotgun, grinder, and cowbell. Last time we went, the matches thrown onto the crowd all went out before they could set fire to the gasoline, and there were two stripppers from the audience instead of just one.

The site has clips of the songs. "Put the South in Your Mouth" is exactly as filthy as it sounds, and most of them aren't much better. Worse. Presentable.
