Unsurprising note.
Jul. 27th, 2007 12:30 pmWhen one is sporting black jeans, a black T-shirt with a blue line drawing of one gentleman soundly beating another next to the explanation that English does not "borrow" vocabulary but mugs other languages for it, and a somewhat unkempt 'hawk[1], one gets odd looks from the salespeople at Birks.
Nonetheless, they were very polite, and I should have my engagement ring back shortly. (It was polished before the wedding. However, it was polished in such a way that it was considerably yellower than my wedding ring. This will be fixed.)
In other news, there is currently no available work surface in my apartment. The kitchen table is barricaded by assorted items (as is most of the kitchen; it requires a bit of a duck-and-weave to get to the microwave or stove, which might explain why I've been avoiding this whole "cooked meal" concept lately), the livingroom table might have space but the lightswitch is still badly broken[2] and the rest of the room so full there's no place to clear things to (especially not in the dark), the sketchtable tilts, there's no room to set up the card table, my desk is full of stuff, and the tray I'd normally use is stacked under several finished paintings.
And while Angel is good company, she sleeps a lot of the time.
I am put out. Tetchy. "Tetchy" is another one of those good words which is vastly underused.
Meh. Back to straining glutinous language out of the summaries. The six-line forty-eight word sentence is particularly impressive.

[1] Ran out of shaving cream. Must fix.
