John:	So, the state of West Virginia can't figure out why nobody wants to buy a historic building they've got. It costs $300,000/yr to heat. It's full of asbestos. The cops have used it to play paintball. It requires millions in renovations to be inhabitable.
me:	...this doesn't seem hard to figure out..
John:	Oh, and it's a former insane asylum and it's supposed to be haunted. Have a link.
me:	Okay, *now* I'm puzzled as to why no-one is buying it.

It actually looks like a rather attractive building. I'm just trying to recall the name of the movie about the construction crew that was hired to go into an abandoned asylum and do double-time to clear out all the dangerous crap over a weekend--I want to say Session 9, but I'm not sure. Pleasantly creepy atmospheric little movie.

Also, there's at least one person who wants to buy it (namely me), but I'm sure they want too much money for it. We should clearly all start a "buy the old haunted asylum" fund. Then we could start a "heat and cool the old haunted asylum" fund.

*laughs* True if I had millions of dollars i'd buy it and start renovating it so it is less dangerous and some rooms are functional and then see if any film companies would be interested in renting bits of it to use. that might get me enough money to defray some of the costs of purchase or renovation.

I lived in west virginia for a short amount of time, i didn't like it....if i had the money i'd but it sounds like excitement you'd never get bored imagine all the messed up stuff that could happen to you whne you enter the place....talk about adreaniline rush i've always liked the feeling of adreaniline and being scared, i love haunted places. But You know People are too scared to buy it, anyways interesting article
