Art class was fun. Many fewer people than I expected, none of them pointed and laughed, painting I can live with was accomplished. (Technically my first ever acrylic painting. 's neat, even if Voltaire looks like a drunk.)

I want an easel. It makes painting *so* much easier. And as soon as I figure out what exactly I was doing that caused my left foot and left shoulder to crap into miserably tight charley-horse-type knots, I'm sure it'll be easier yet. Thinking back, I suspect it was some weird cross between boxing stance and fencing stance.

The teacher's cool. Very patient, very accessible.

Next week, we do colour.

I think you can raise and lower the easel to be more ergonomic. Then again there are certain things that you just literally have to suffer for your art.

I did. It wasn't the height that was giving me the problem, I'm sure of that.

See, I told you! Ryan is wise and all-knowing. So, coffee, writing and drawing still on tonight?

Still on. It's only my left neck and arm and shoulder and leg, after all; I can still draw.
